Rain tonight through AM Thursday, flooding likely

TONIGHT: Rain begins by 2AM-3AM near the Truman Reservoir and Lake area, spreading east-northeast through early morning. It will be a cool night with lows in the upper 40s.

WEDNESDAY: Rain continues through the day, with periods of moderate rain. It will be chilly and damp with high temperatures near 50 and an easterly wind at 10-15 mph, gusting to 25 mph at times. Flooding is possible due to saturated ground and already swollen rivers and creeks. A Flash Flood Watch continues until 1 PM Thursday. Rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches are likely from I-70 south with up to 4 inches possible.

EXTENDED: The storm system is slowing down and rain will continue into Thursday morning, ending from west to east through early afternoon. Thursday will stay cool with high temperatures near 60 and a cool northerly wind at 15 mph gusting to 25 mph at times. Friday is looking dry and sunny with no rain at this time for the upcoming weekend. High temperatures will climb into the mid 60s Friday and lower 70s this weekend.
