Columbia man accused of attacking relative with pliers and saw during fight

A Columbia man is already out of jail after allegedly attacking one of his relatives with pliers and a saw.

Police say they arrested Sreyvout Sing just after 10:00 Monday night.

They say on Friday, he apparently got in a fight with on of his relatives over money on Doris Drive. That’s when officers say Sing went after the victim with pliers before grabbing a saw.

Police say they found the victim with several cuts on his neck, chest, back and shoulder.

Sing apparently took off before officers got there, but was later arrested at Creasy Springs Road and Texas Avenue.

He’s now facing possible charges of armed criminal action and domestic assault.
