More rain possible Wednesday

If you have yard work that needs to get done this week, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and this upcoming weekend are looking dry. Wednesday will bring another soaker in the morning. Rain could start up as early as 9PM near HWY 65 on Tuesday night, while there is an increasing chance for heavy rain by Wednesday morning. Heavy rain looks to start up near southwest Mid-Missouri near Camdenton, Osage Beach, and Sedalia by 6AM-8AM and increasing in Columbia and Jefferson City from 7AM-9AM. The heaviest rain looks to occur south of I-70 through 10AM before transitioning to light rain through the afternoon. The rain chance looks to end east of US 63 through 8PM Wednesday night. If this next low stalls, we’ll need to watch for rain possible in the morning on Thursday again.

The highest swath of rain will occur anywhere from the Truman Reservoir area up through Jefferson City, to Columbia, Fulton, and Hermann, where 2′ to 3″ is possible. Most locations north of I-70 look to get under 1″. From the past weekends rain event, and more rain midweek, much of the river levels should remain at a flood stage through the end of the week.
