4 hospitalized after drive-by shooting in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Springfield police say four people were shot in a car by someone in another vehicle. Police Lt. Nelson Kibby says the shooting happened Friday afternoon in north Springfield. Kibby says two vehicles were driving west when shots were fired at one of the vehicles. Four of five people inside the second vehicle were taken to hospitals. Their conditions were not known, but Kibby said some of the injuries are believed to be “serious.” The other vehicle has not been found. Officers were investigating.
