Rain increases Friday as cooler air moves in

TONIGHT: Temperatures will cool into the upper 40s overnight with increasing rain in the Ozarks near I-44 after 2 AM. Winds will shift to the northeast up to 10 mph

FRIDAY: Rain will move in from the south and spread north to HWY 50 by early afternoon with a few showers reaching as far north as I-70 by early evening. It will stay cool with high temperatures in the upper 50s and a northeast breeze up to 10 mph.

EXTENDED: Rain will be on and off Friday night, mostly falling along and south of I-70 before tapering off from west to east through the morning Saturday. Rainfall amounts will range from a trace to quarter of an inch north of I-70 to a half inch to inch south of I-70 and amounts up to 3 inches closer to I-44 through Saturday. Saturday will stay cool with high temperatures only reaching 50 to 58 degrees. We’ll be dry and cold Saturday night with lows dropping into the upper 30s by Sunday morning. Sunday looks nice with mostly sunny skies, light northerly winds and high temperatures in the upper 60s. We’ll warm to the low to mid 70s early next week with mainly dry weather through Tuesday.
