Tracking a bitterly cold start to the weekend

Saturday: Freezing overnight with lows in the single digits and wind chills below 0. A southerly breeze kicks in by the afternoon to finally warm temperatures to just above freezing.

Sunday: Mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the mid to upper 30s.

Extended: We'll see a few more clouds on Sunday as a dry front passes through, and temperatures hover just below 40. Behind this front, we drop into the lower 30s on Monday and the dry stretch continues into next week. A few more weak disturbances will swing through late week but still look pretty moisture deprived.
