JEFFTRAN to undergo systemwide assessment
The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is working with a private company to perform a systemwide assessment of the JEFFTRAN transit system.
“The study will evaluate existing JEFFTRAN routes, identify unmet transit needs, and propose service modifications to address those needs,” an announcement from the system said. “The study will recommend modifications to existing routes and schedules to better serve existing and potential new transit users.”
The system plans to hold several stakeholder meetings and a public meeting between Monday and Wednesday, all of them at City Hall.
The schedule of meetings can be seen here.
