An active weather pattern is shaping up for this week
TONIGHT: Temperatures tonight will be staying mild as cloud cover helps lows only drop into the mid 50s. We have a another chance of showers and maybe even some thunderstorms into the later evening hours. Winds will be out of the southeast at 7-14 mph. Areas along and east of US 63 can expect to see rainfall totals up 1/4″, with pockets of accumulation up to 1/2″.
MONDAY: The chance of rain tapers off by Monday morning. It will be a mild start to the work week as temperatures will be in the upper 50s for the morning commute. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 70s along with drier afternoon conditions. By Monday evening, another chance for showers moves into the area as a cold front tracks through Mid-Missouri.
EXTENDED: The next chance for more organized rain will arrive by late Monday and will continue into late Tuesday. Cooler temperatures near the seasonal average will dominate Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the 50s. Due to upper-air patterns bringing in frequent rain and storm chances over Mid-Missouri, we have much needed shower and thunderstorm chances each day of the week into next weekend. By Thursday and Friday, another warming trend will take the place of cooler temperatures. In regards to severe weather chances, the next chance for stronger storms exists for Friday afternoon into Saturday morning.
