Tracking slim rain chances and warm temperatures

THIS AFTERNOON: Partly sunny and warm, with highs in the low 80s. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible south of I-70 between 3 and 7 p.m., but most will stay dry.

TONIGHT: Dry and partly cloudy, with lows in the mid-60s.

EXTENDED: Thursday is another warm and mostly dry day, but scattered rain and storms are expected across the Lake of the Ozarks and I-44, with a lower chance of rain up to the Missouri River. Coverage increases Thursday night into Friday, with the highest chance of rain across the southern half of the area. Rain totals will be very low for anyone outside of the Lake and I-44 areas, but places like Osage Beach and Waynesville could see over half an inch of rainfall through Friday. A backdoor cold front will push rain west of the area this weekend, and temperatures remain warm in the upper 70s to low 80s every day.
