Mizzou MBB moves start time of Florida game due to incoming winter weather

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team moved the start time of its home matchup with Florida on Wednesday up to 2 p.m. due to the incoming winter storm. The game was originally scheduled to start at 8 p.m.

MU will not be requiring parking permits for the game, according to a release. Mizzou is asking fans to use Lot P.

"I think the most important thing is they're safe," head coach Cuonzo Martin said. "I'd love to play the game, but I think the most important thing is if we can get to the gym safely, first and foremost. We'd love to have all of our fans here if they can get here safely, but I think safety is first and foremost."

There will be limited concessions for the matchup, and doors will not open to fans until one hour prior to tip.

Mizzou guard Amari Davis is no stranger to the snow. He spent his first two years playing at Green Bay. Davis said it once snowed 22 inches during his time in Wisconsin. You can hear more from him in the video player below.
