Man arrested for spanking child charged with child abuse

Anthony Johnson has been charged with child abuse on Friday.

Johnson was arrested after officers said a witness saw Johnson spank the boy with a belt about four times on Feb. 15. The witness told police Johnson did it because the child hit his sister in the mouth.

Police said they found fresh welt marks and a bruise on the child.
