Tracking more mild conditions before an active workweek

Sunday: Winds will switch from the southwest to the northwest leading to a cooler breeze today. We still start out warmer in the 20s but only make it to near 40 in the afternoon.

Monday: Another shift in winds will lead to a nice warmup to start the workweek. Highs break into the mid-50s under a mostly sunny sky.

Extended: Big changes arrive midweek as a winter storm approaches. Low pressure moving in Tuesday morning will pull in moisture and kick off rain showers early. As the atmosphere cools, precipitation will switch over to a wintry mix and snow heading into Wednesday. More snow is possible on Thursday as the system exits but dangerous cold arrives behind it. Lows threaten to dip near or below 0 degrees on Friday morning and may not fare much better heading into next weekend.
