Gusty and dry conditions are in store for Saturday

TODAY: A Fire Weather Watch goes into effect Saturday morning and will last through 6pm tonight. Extremely breezy conditions will be in store with sustained winds near 20 mph by morning and picking up speed through the day. By the afternoon, winds will be out of the southwest gusting up to 30 mph. Despite the fire weather watch and breezy conditions, it will be a beautiful day, with highs reaching into the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. By tonight, winds will be slightly tamer with mild evening temperatures in the mid 50s.

SUNDAY: We will be seeing less sunshine on our Sunday due to increasing clouds. Due to the lack of sun rays, temperatures will be slightly cooler in the mid to upper 60s. Those windy conditions will be returning into Mid-Missouri with sustained winds reaching near 20 mph with gusts reaching above 30 mph. Although it will be very windy, conditions we be mild and dry.

EXTENDED: Starting next week, temperatures warm to the low 70s on Monday with an increasing chance for rain after 12pm. Showers and t-storms are more likely Monday night after 10pm continuing into early Tuesday morning where up to 1/4″ looks possible. The storms will accompany a cold front that will once again bring sunny skies and mild weather back to Mid-Missouri.
