ORIGINAL: A house fire in Maries County has briefly shut down a road north of Vienna.

ABC 17 News first started hearing reports of the fire around 4:00 Monday morning.

It happened at a home near Highway 63 and Route AA.

The Vienna Fire Protection District posted about the fire on its Facebook page. It says firefighters from Vienna and Argyle are on the scene.

It also said it had to shut down Route AA for about an hour and says one lane has now reopened.
