Trial date set for man accused of beating infant daughter

A three-day jury trial for Aaron Fisher is scheduled to start on April 10 in Laclede County Court.

Fisher was charged in Miller County in November with one count of first-degree assault. A judge granted Fisher’s change of venue motion in December and the case was moved to Laclede County.

Fisher is suspected of punching his 5-month-old daughter in the head in 2009.

In October 2015, a judge dismissed two counts of forcible sodomy against Fisher citing that Fisher’s right to a speedy trial had been violated.
