Mizzou forward enters transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team will be down one scholarship player for the remainder of the season, after forward Sean Durugordon announced he will be entering the transfer portal.

Durugordon confirmed the decision in a Twitter post on Friday evening.

The redshirt freshman has not played any minutes since Mizzou's matchup against Arkansas on Jan. 12. But, Durugordon has appeared in 12 out of MU's 17 games so far this season, averaging 3.2 points and 1.2 rebounds per game. He put up a season-high 11 points against Kansas.

Head coach Cuonzo Martin will now have 11 scholarship players to finish out the season.
