Weekend weather impacts

The spring-like weather continues through the weekend with temperatures more like April. It will be a perfect weekend for outdoor activities with cool mornings and mild afternoons. However, there are a few things you might want to know before heading out the door.

The pollen count will climb a bit this weekend into the medium category due to the dry, warm weather with the highest pollen count expected Sunday. Currently, Juniper is the top allergen in Mid-Missouri.

It won’t be completely sunny this weekend. Clouds will increase through Saturday morning with thickest cloud cover in the Ozarks and near I-44 where even a few sprinkles can’t be ruled out. Clouds will thin out and clear through the late afternoon and evening. Sunday will start off mostly sunny but clouds return late in the day.

Also, although winds will be lighter this weekend and afternoon humidity will be higher, it is still best to avoid outdoor burning since the terrain is dry due to the growing drought conditions.
