One person killed in crash on I-70 in Montgomery County
UPDATE: One person was killed in a crash early Thursday morning on I-70 in Montgomery County.
It happened at 3:10 am at the 180 mile marker.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, 39-year-old Darren Liggett was driving when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road. It says Liggett over corrected and lost control.
The vehicle slid off the left side of the road, struck the median barrier cable and posts.
Liggett was pronounced dead at the scene.
ORIGINAL: The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirms it worked a crash in Montgomery County Thursday morning.
ABC 17 News called the patrol which confirmed there was a crash on I-70 near New Florence.
Officials would not say when the crash happened, if anyone was hurt or if it is causing any traffic impacts.
MoDOT’s traveler information map does not show any current traffic hazards in the area.
