No victims after alleged drive-by shooting in Central Columbia

Columbia police confirmed that there were reports of a drive-by shooting near Jewell Avenue and Benton Street around 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

A sergeant with Columbia police said that there was one eyewitness and multiple calls from people in the area.

The eyewitness told police that they saw two vehicles shooting at each other.

The sergeant said that officers did not find any shell casings, the vehicles in question, victims or any other evidence to prove that there was a drive-by early Sunday morning.

Police are still investigating the incident.
