Saturday evening, January 28

TODAY: Temperatures will drop back below freezing by tonight in the lower 30s with a chance for flurries overnight. No significant accumulation is expected. Winds will be subsiding through the evening hours, but with wind chills still in the mid 20s.

SUNDAY: The best chance for flurries will be in the AM on Sunday and once again Sunday evening. A dusting is possible for areas east of US 63. Clouds and breezy conditions will be continuing into Sunday with the high temperature in the upper 30s. Due to temperatures reaching above freezing, any accumulated snow will melt by late morning into the early afternoon. Wind chills will be in the upper 20s by Sunday afternoon with sustained winds around 7-13 mph out of the northwest.

EXTENDED: If any snow sticks around throughout Sunday, it will definitely melt my Monday as we start warming up Monday into Tuesday as high temperatures jump into the 40s. Sunnier conditions will be gracing us across Mid-Missouri for the first half of the week. Temperatures will start dipping to seasonal averages by Wednesday. By Thursday into Friday, a system moves into the area, giving us the chance for rain/snow. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
