Columbia woman arrested for DUI with children in car

Columbia police arrested Jessica Perry Wednesday morning after a traffic crash.

According to police, an officer was sent to a car crash at Range Line Street and Business Loop 70 East. Witnesses told police they thought one of the drivers may be intoxicated.

The officer on scene reported smelling a strong alcohol odor from Perry. Perry had two children in the car during the collision. It’s not clear if the children were her children.

Perry was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child, driving without a valid license and felony driving while intoxicated. Court records showed Perry has a history of DUI as well as driving with a revoked or suspended license.
