Tracking an incoming winter storm for Central Missouri

Today: Moisture moves into Central Missouri this afternoon leading to scattered light showers with highs into the mid-'40s.

Tonight: Scattered showers begin transitioning into a wintery mix before finally switching completely to snow for the northern half of the viewing area. Temperatures begin to drop just below freezing overnight tonight.

Extended: Any moisture in Central Missouri will have switched to snowfall will finally push to the south by six pm. Expect slick roads into the Saturday mid-day as this snow will be a wetter snow. Temperatures only warm to freezing this week for the highs. Next week looks drier and slightly warmer with the possibility of reaching back into the '50s by Tuesday
