Montgomery County woman killed in crash after over-correcting

A Montgomery County woman is dead after over-correcting twice and hitting a tree in a crash.

It happened just before 2:00 Wednesday afternoon on Route B at Wild Wind Road, which is four miles west of Montgomery City.

A crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says 31-year-old Nicole Hensley failed to negotiate a turn and went off the road.

The report says she then over-corrected twice, before the vehicle turned and she hit a tree.

Troopers say Hensley was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

This is Troop F’s 8th fatality for the year.
