St. Louis area man charged in death of 4-year-old son

CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) — A suburban St. Louis man has been charged in the death of his 4-year-old son. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 23-year-old Blake Dopirak, of Manchester, was charged Wednesday with a felony count of abuse or neglect of a child resulting in death. He is jailed on $250,000 cash only bail. No attorney is listed for him in online court records. Emergency responders found the child unresponsive on Jan. 2 when they went to Dopirak’s apartment. Prosecutors said in a statement that the boy had multiple head injuries and died at a hospital.
