Slick roads this morning with more light snow on the way

Snow has become widespread overnight and blanketed roads this morning. Crews are out and treating the roads, but with the air temperature well below freezing, minor ice is possible making for slick conditions this morning. You’ll notice all roadways will be slick.

A lull in the snow activity is expected this morning with likely ongoing flurries. A last final band of snow will move in again from 9AM-12PM for those near Columbia, Jefferson City and south of I-70, ending through 12PM-1PM near I-44 where another quick 1/2″ to 1″ is possible, on top of the 1″ we’ve had overnight.

The Winter Weather Advisory will expire for those north of I-70 at 9AM for those along and south at 12PM today. If you are headed out this morning, allow plenty of time to get to your destination. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
