Man arrested in Callaway County after string of burglaries
Callaway County deputies responded to a call on the 6000 block of County Road 480 for a burglary offense, shortly after 9 a.m. on Thursday.
During the investigation, deputies found that a garage and several vehicles on the property were broken into and items were missing.
Then, Thursday afternoon, deputies responded to another burglary call on the 5000 block of County Road 480. The property owner told deputies when he went to the farm property, he saw a man trespassing. He told deputies that he confronted the man, but the man ran away. The owner said items had been stolen from his farm.
Deputies searched the area and around 1 p.m. on Thursday they found the suspect, with the help of local property owners, along County Road 481.
The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as Alexander Campbell, 24, of Holts Summit.
Campbell was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.
Campbell has been faced with a charge of a felony offense of burglary. He has a $40,000 bond.
