More weakness in technology companies pulled most major stock indexes lower in afternoon trading on Wall Street. The S&P 500 slipped 0.4%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq pulled back 1.3%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average of 30 blue-chip companies managed a tiny gain of 0.2%, pulling above the record high it set a day earlier. Energy stocks posted some of the biggest gains as U.S. crude oil prices rose. Health care companies also made solid gains. European markets were higher and Asian markets closed mostly lower overnight. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note rose to 1.68%.
