Monday evening, December 26

TONIGHT: It will be clear and colder with low temperatures in the upper 20s by morning and a northwesterly breeze at 6-10 mph, producing wind chills as low as 20 degrees.

TUESDAY: Temperatures will be slightly cooler but still pleasant for late December as we reach the mid 40s under sunny skies. Winds will stay under 8 mph from the west-southwest.

EXTENDED: We’ll have another mild day Wednesday with partly cloudy skies and high temperatures in the low 50s. There is a slight shower chance in the afternoon near I-44 but most rain will stay south of our area. A cold front moves through Wednesday afternoon, cooling our daytime highs into the lower 40s Thursday and Friday with mostly sunny skies. As another cold front moves in this weekend, moisture will return ahead of it from the south but looks light. There is a slight chance of light rain or rain/snow mix early Saturday morning south of I-70 with a few showers possible in the afternoon. Light showers late Saturday night could also have snow mixed in north of HWY 50 but no accumulation is expected. High temperatures will reach the mid 40s Saturday and lower 40s New Year’s Day.
