Woman sustains head injury after single car crash

Early Monday morning, police responded to I-70 westbound near the Lake of the Woods exit for reports of a single vehicle crash.

Emergency officials met the woman at the Lake of the Woods Petromart.

Police were still investigating what caused the crash but our crews heard reports of the woman falling asleep.

Police believe no foul play was involved.

Police said the woman was bleeding from her head but in stable condition. She was going to the hospital to get checked out.

There were three children and one other adult in the car when it crashed.
