Marginal Risk for Severe Storms on Sunday Night

Two rounds of thunderstorms will be possible on Sunday. A warm front will lift in the morning from 7AM-11AM with storms starting south of HWY 50 and lifting north mid morning. We’ll have dry time in the afternoon and early evening with temperatures rising to the low 60s! A line of thunderstorms will move in from the west starting in western Missouri by 6PM. Plenty of high winds aloft could reach lower levels, resulting in a windy day. Storms in Mid-Missouri on Sunday night look to move in from 7PM-Midnight. The main threat will be strong wind gusts up to 60 mph. However, 40-50 mph winds can cause damage to high impact vehicles, knock around holiday decor, and cause weak and old tree limbs to break causing minor debris. We’ll be monitoring Sunday’s system closely. In the meantime follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter for more updates.
