Police search for suspect in early morning armed robbery

Early Thursday morning at 12:04 a.m, Columbia police responded to the Breaktime Convenience Store on Grindstone Parkway for a report of a robbery with a gun.

Officers say a male suspect entered the business with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspect received an unknown amount of money before leaving the area on foot in the southeast direction.

Officers brought in their K-9 to help in the investigation, but the suspect was not found.

There were no reported injuries or property damage from the robbery.

The investigation is on-going.
