Tuesday Evening, December 20

TONIGHT: Winds will remain from the south under 5 mph bringing a mostly clear sky to those south of the Missouri River, and mid and high level clouds to those north. Temperatures will drop to near 20 overnight.

WEDNESDAY: Temperatures will warm into the low to mid 40s with light southwesterly winds shifting to the northwest late in the day as a cold front moves through which will send some clouds into the area by late afternoon and evening.

EXTENDED: It will be cooler Thursday with high temperatures near 40 under partly cloudy skies. As we warm into the mid 40s Friday, clouds will increase with a chance of rain by late afternoon in the Ozarks, increasing to the north in the evening and overnight. Those north of I-70 will see temperatures near 32-35 overnight and a mix of rain/ snow or period of freezing rain is possible which could cause slick roads from 4-9 AM Saturday, mainly north of I-70. Temperatures will warm into the 40s by Saturday afternoon with rain showers possible. Christmas looks breezy & mild with temperatures in the mid to upper 50s and a chance of showers. As a cold front moves in Sunday night, showers and t-storms will increase. Total rainfall amounts for the weekend are expected to come in at .75″ to 1.25″.
