Three arrested after Columbia package thefts
One of three men arrested Thursday, December 15, was charged after allegedly stealing packages.
It all started after 12:30 p.m. when police were called to the 3000 block of Abbeywood Drive for a possible theft. The caller said she saw people stealing packages off her porch from her home surveillance cameras.
Investigators were able to get a suspect and vehicle description. They then found a vehicle matching the description and pulled it over in the 1800 block of Stadium Blvd. just before 1:00 p.m.
Travion Rodgers-Wallace, Orlando Turner and Randy Bland were inside the vehicle along with several packages and clothing addressed to residents in the Valley View neighborhood. Two handguns were also found under Rodgers-Wallace’s seat.
All three men were arrested. Right now, Travion Rodgers-Wallace faces two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and one count of receiving stolen property.
Turner and Bland have yet to be charged.
