Sunday Evening, December 11
TONIGHT: As a cold front tracks through Mid-Missouri, rain should end from north to south. We’ll see another shot of colder air, as temperatures drop into the mid 20s. We’ll have to watch for water freezing on roadways and bridges, as the temperature drops below freezing. The commute to work on Monday will have to be watched, as we do have that potential for ice on roadways.
MONDAY: A cold start to the day with temperatures in the mid 20s around 7 AM. Monday will be a more mild and seasonal start to the work week. High temperatures will remain above freezing at 37 degrees. Conditions will be dry with partly sunny skies.
EXTENDED: Another blast of arctic air on the way by Tuesday afternoon, dropping temperatures into the single digits to lower teens Tuesday night and highs only reaching the low 20s Wednesday. Light snow is possible Tuesday night into Wednesday. Once the Arctic cold front passes, a high pressure system will build causing freezing temperatures to dominate the Midwest for the remainder of the week.
