A Columbia man will spend the next 15 years in federal prison without parole for child sex trafficking.

We had previously reported the arrest of 35 year-old Kenyata Miles was sentenced Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Stephen Bough.

Miles pled guilty on May 16, 2016 to the charge after he was found by law enforcement officers in the Quail’s Nest Motel in Osage Beach in April, 2013. A sixteen year-old female who had been reported as missing was found in one room, and Miles was found in an adjacent room with two women. Miles had advertised the availability of the victim on Backpage.com. Miles even provided transportation to and from the motel.

According to court documents, Miles has an extensive criminal history. He has been either incarcerated or under court supervision most of his adult life.
