Tracking a chilly Sunday before a warmup this week

TODAY: Frosty start to the day in the low 20s. Another cold and sunny afternoon as highs reach the upper 30s.

TOMORROW: A warmup kicks in while we stay dry. Highs jump to the upper 40s.

EXTENDED: Quiet and dry conditions prevail this week which will bring a return of above-average warmth. The early part of the week will have "see-saw" temperatures as a few dry fronts move through; highs hover around the upper 40s. A more stable pattern sets up just before the holidays to boost highs near 60 degrees by Christmas Eve. We're still watching next weekend for more disturbed conditions and potentially a slight cooldown on Christmas Day. Highs will still manage to stay at least 10 degrees above average for late December regardless.
