Public hearing set for Rice Road speeding concerns

Columbia residents will have another chance to voice their concerns about speeding on Rice Road and Kelsey Drive.

A public hearing is on the agenda for tomorrow’s Columbia City Council meeting. The hearing will center on proposed construction of traffic speed tables and speed bumps along Rice Road, between Hanover Boulevard and Shamrock Drive, as well as along Kelsey Drive, between Shamrock Drive and Lake of the Woods Road.

Back in July, the city proposed three solutions to help fix the speeding problems. Those included a speed bump, speed table or bulb out.

The funding for the project will come from the capital sales improvement tax.

ABC 17 News will have a crew at tomorrow’s meeting.
