Wednesday evening, September 28

TONIGHT: We’ll have a seasonably cool night with low temperatures in the upper 40s to near 50 under mostly clear skies. Winds will come in from the north at 4-8 mph.

THURSDAY: Skies will remain mostly sunny in most of Mid-Missouri but areas east of HWY 63 will see more afternoon clouds. High temperatures will stay mild, reaching the lower 70s with a north wind picking up to 10-15 mph in the afternoon.

EXTENDED: More clouds will move in Friday and Saturday with perhaps a few sprinkles or brief light shower in the afternoon hours, mainly east of HWY 63 as an upper level area of low pressure to our east wobbles toward us. This will keep temperatures near normal heading into the first of October with highs in the low 70s Saturday and a couple degrees warmer Sunday. A shift in the upper level pattern next week will bring an increasing rain chance midweek of next week with high temperatures warming into the upper 70s.
