Columbia police confirm three homes struck by gunfire

UPDATE: Columbia police confirm at least three homes were hit by gunfire Tuesday night.

They say they have evidence that leads them to believe the gunfire could have been between two parties.

At least one of the homes struck was occupied at the time of the shooting. Police did not believe as of Tuesday night that anyone was hit by a bullet.

ORIGINAL STORY: Police are investigating reports of shots fired in the 1500 block of Raleigh Drive.

The initial call went out just after 8:00 p.m. for Citadel Drive, a street just north of Raleigh Dr. It has been blocked off while police investigate.

One witness told ABC 17 News he and some friends were playing basketball when they heard what sounded like multiple shots.
