School of the Osage on lockdown, Miller County police chasing man on foot

School of the Osage was put on a precautionary lockdown Monday afternoon due to an active police chase in the area. On Tuesday, the Miller County sheriff’s office confirmed it tried to take Michael Kristopher Regehr, also known as Michael Thompson, into custody near the Kaiser area of Osage Beach near Lowes.

Regehr is wanted on several felony warrants from a different agency, but is also a suspect in property crimes in Miller County.

Despite help from the Highway Patrol and Osage Beach police, Regehr escaped after running away. He is described as white, 5’10”, 175 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair. If anyone has information about his whereabouts, they are urged to call a local law enforcement agency or the Miller County sheriff’s department at (573) 369-2341.
