MoDOT honors fallen workers

The Missouri Department of Transportation had a moment of silence for workers who had been killed on Missouri roadways Thursday.

The annual tradition is known as the “Day of Remembrance” and was held at the state capitol’s Fallen Worker Memorial.

Other departments across the state held their own memorials Thursday.

The event honored 132 workers and is held yearly to call attention to work zone safety.
