Boone County plans for new emergency notification system

The Joint Communications and Office of Emergency Management will be using RAVE Alert notification instead of Nixle as of October 1st.

Users will have to register for the new system by creating a RAVE Smart911 profile. Directions on how to do so can be found at: https://www.showmeboone.com/OEM/

Signing up for the alerts will allow citizens to receive emergency notifications, advisories, National Weather Service watches and traffic alerts.
