Man arrested at Hy-Vee in south Columbia

UPDATE: Columbia police confirmed Jon-Eric Lee was the man arrested at Hy-Vee Friday, accused of pointing a gun at someone.

Lee has since bonded out of the Boone County Jail.

ORIGINAL STORY: ABC 17 News has a crew at the Hy-Vee near Nifong Boulevard and Providence Road, where police responded Friday morning in south Columbia.

Officers tell ABC 17 News they were called before 10 a.m. for an argument over money that was exchanged on Thursday. They believe the suspect confronted and threatened the victim with a gun today, before ditching the weapon in the garden area outside the store.

It appears only one person was taken into custody in the back of a patrol car. Over five patrol units were on scene.
