Lincoln University leaders set to meet Thursday

The Lincoln University Board of Curators are meeting Thursday morning for the first meeting of the 2016-2017 school year.

Board members will hear reports from LU’s president, Dr. Kevin Rome, as well as from the faculty senate.

In July, the board of curators voted to cut the Bachelor of Music Education and Bachelor of Science with an Emphasis in Sacred Music and theAssociate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education degree.

The board also suspended the university’s history degree for the next three years. The university said a small number of graduates from those programs prompted leaders to restructure it’s degree program.

During closed session, the curators will discuss “hiring and firing, disciplining or promoting of particular employees…”
