Driver arrested after single-vehicle rollover crash in Benton County

Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to three different crashes across Mid-Missouri on Sunday.

Three people, including two children, were hurt in a single-vehicle rollover crash around 9:15 p.m. on southbound Highway 65 north of Route P in Benton County.

Troopers said a car driven by Jeremiah J. Casdorph, 40, of Cole Camp, Missouri drove off of the side of the highway and flipped over. According to the crash report, an 8-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy, both of Cole Camp, Missouri, were in the car.

Casdorph was taken by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Hospital with serious injuries. Both children were also taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Troopers said the boy and girl were wearing seat belts. Casdorph wasn't wearing a seat belt, according to the crash report.

Troopers arrested Casdorph on possible charges of driving while intoxicated, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, driving while revoked, and for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

Man taken to hospital with serious injuries after Randolph County crash

A Des Moines, Iowa man was taken to a hospital on Sunday afternoon after a crash in Randolph County.

According to the highway patrol, the crash happened around 5:55 p.m. on northbound Highway 63 about one mile south of Clark, Missouri.

Troopers said a car driven by Bradley G. Gilbert, 37, crashed into a pickup truck trying to make a left turn. The driver of the truck, Mark A. Robinson, 57, of Columbia, wasn't hurt in the crash.

Gilbert was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. MU Health Care told ABC 17 News on Monday morning Gilbert is in serious condition.

According to the crash report, Gilbert and Robinson were seat belts.

Troopers blame distracted driving after crash in Camden County

The highway patrol responded on Sunday afternoon to a single-vehicle crash near the Lake of the Ozarks.

Troopers said the crash happened on Bollinger Creek Road near Crainshaw Road just before 3:55 p.m.

According to the crash report, Anna M. Abernathy, 22, of Climax Springs, Missouri, drove a car off of the side of the road and crashed into nearby trees after she got distracted. Troopers didn't say what caused the distraction.

Abernathy was taken by ambulance to a hospital with serious injuries.

According to the crash report, Abernathy was wearing a seat belt.
