Thieves break into multiple cars in east Columbia

The Columbia Police Department is investigating a string of car break-ins in the 3600 block of West Sugar Tree Lane.

According to police reports, the break-ins all happened in the early morning hours on Thursday August 4th between 1 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

Three people reported to police that items were stolen from inside their cars. One of the cars was unlocked.
