Mild weekend, slight rain chances

We’ll have fairly comfortable temperatures for August as we only reach the lower 80s this weekend with nights dropping into the mid to upper 60s. Clouds will be in and out of the area both days but there will be pockets of sunshine.

Saturday looks dry for most of Mid-Missouri, with the exception of the Ozarks. Showers and t-storms are expected to move in from Kansas in the early morning hours and spread across southern Missouri, clipping areas as far north as HWY 50 Saturday morning. Most of the afternoon looks dry and mostly cloudy.

Another cluster of showers and storms is possible by Sunday morning. If it holds together as it moves this far east, we will start the day with rain with the better chance north of I-70. In the afternoon, skies will remain mostly cloudy with a chance of a shower or two.
