Preview: Special report on COVID-19 long haulers airs Monday at 10 p.m.

Tonight at 10 p.m., ABC 17 News looks at how COVID-19 long haulers have been financially and medically impacted by the pandemic.

Kansas City resident Amanda Finley is one of those affected. She said her long-term side effects from COVID-19 have prevented her from going back to work.

Eventually, Finley lost her apartment and had to move in with friends. Now facing homelessness, she described the struggles she's gone through and how she get's through each day.

"I have asthma and I was terrified," said Finely. "I would go to sleep hoping I would wake up and I think it's beholden on those of us who did make it and can speak to make sure we are speaking very loudly."

Hear Finely's full story about her battle with COVID-19 tonight on ABC 17 News at 10 on KMIZ.
