Crews respond injury crash in Columbia

UPDATE 7/26:The crash happened when the two cars were trying to merge. The two vehicles sustained minor damage. The two people who were taken into an ambulance had only minor injuries but were complaining of their necks and backs hurting. The scene is cleared.

Emergency workers and fire crews responded Tuesday morning to a traffic crash on Stadium Boulevard near Providence Road in Columbia.

Two cars were involved in the crash which slowed traffic at the intersection for nearly 30 minutes.

Paramedics used stretchers to take the driver and passenger in one of the vehicles to a hospital by ambulance.

ABC 17 News has a crew on the scene and will update this story when more details are confirmed.
