Boat explodes at Lake of the Ozarks, one person hurt
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said it’s unclear what caused a boat to explode Saturday afternoon at the Lake of the Ozarks.
It happened around 2 p.m. near the Silver Sands Marina.
Troopers said the explosion happened when the 27-year-old driver restarted the boat after refilling it with gas.
A 53-year-old woman on board was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The Sunrise Beach Fire Department and the Gravois Fire Department responded to the fire.
